SILENT SNOW – 2008
Oltre al riscaldamento globale, esiste un’altra minaccia per l’Artico, sotto la superficie. Pesticidi pericolosi provenienti da tutto il mondo stanno per essere portati al polo attraverso i venti del nord e le onde, avvelenando animali e persone. Due ragazze del Nord della Groenlandia viaggiano verso un villaggio che sta per scomparire dove una di esse ancora vive. In un background fatto di ghiaccio, discutono sull’inquinamento che non sta soltanto cambiando le loro vite, ma è una minaccia per il mondo intero. Apart from global warning, there is another threat to the Arctic lingering underneath the surface. Dangerous pesticides from all over the world are being carried to the poles by northbound wind and waves, poisoning animals and people. Two girls in Northern Greenland are travelling to a disappearing village where one of them still lives. Against a background of melting ice they discuss the pollution which is not only dramatically changing their lives but threatening the entire world.
