Lucania Film Festival – ENG

Introduced during the press conference the LFF 2007

This morning took place at the Lido Nautilus of Marina di Pisticci the press conference to introduce the 8th edition of the Lucania Film Festival. Besides confirming the scheduling and the organization of the locations, have been focused and deepened the details of this year edition. Moreover, has been pointed out the fulfilment of an important goal, the saturation of the accommodation facilities of the area, a significant event for the association Allelammie that since its birth – this year its 10th anniversary – has its mission in the growth of Basilicata also through the tourism. That has been possible thanks to the welcome office set up in the organization seat of the association. This year about 40.000 people are expected. At the end of the conference, those present have been asked out to taste those which will become “the popcorn of LFF”, sun dried and fried peppers, the lucanian characteristic “peperone cruscko”. In packages like those of potato chips, the crunchy pepper, produced by Agriter of Palazzo San Gervasio, will be exclusive distributed during the event, although there’s already the idea of a next commercial distribution abroad through the channels activated by the organization of the festival. The organizers have confirmed their will to continue working also in the future for the territory through the cinema as an art not end in itself, but as emancipation medium.
