From all over the world for the first LFF night

2009Since yesterday and up to August the 10th, film directors, professionals and fans are coming in Basilicata from Italy and several other countries such as Belgium, Norway, Israel, Romania, Ireland and Singapore. During 4 days, the little town of Pisticci becomes the Lucany’s capital of cinema: a melting pot of international experiences, languages and different cultures. Today, August the 10th, the first shot film section opened the kermesse and proposed an international selection festival’s diamond point, not less important than Lucany’s filmmaker section dedicated to the local artists. The first day of the festival saw the Alellammie inauguration of the new European Direct Centre and the discussion dealing with a documentary made in Basilicata aiming to export Magna Greek archaeological patrimony. The program was enriched with the second edition of booktrailer section, edited by Tiaso, that anticipate the first part of the international section projection.

The screening of Paolo Bini’s “Fuorinero” short film closed the San Lorenzo Night with Francesco Baccini, the Genoese protagonist and the first festival guest star, also performing a live concert in the wonderful Terravecchia district. Tomorrow, August the 11th, the Lucan actor Domenico Fortunato will present a cinema master class about his experiences, than the actor and singer Rocco Papaleo, coming back at LFF after two years, will perform a live concert that will close the night.
